Universiade 2013 presentation spot to be shown at Russia’s first International Tourism Festival 21.08.2010
The Kazan Universiade presentation spot named «Kazan’s Worlds» by director Rupert Wainwright will be shown at the Russia’s first International Tourism Festival “Kitovras 2010”
On September 17-18, 2010 Veliky Novgorod hosts Russia’s first International Tourism Festival “Kitovras 2010”. It is held under the auspices of the International Committee of Tourism Film CIFFT (Comité International des Festivals du Film Touristique) (Vienna, Austria) and patronized by the Russian Cultural Foundation and the Russian Union of Travel Industry. 122 films from 12 countries will compete in the competition programme including Russia that presents films from 20 regions. Tatarstan will demonstrate «Kazan’s Worlds» by Hollywood director Rupert Wainwright, the press service of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Tourism and Sports informs.
Apart from the prize nominations and the Grand Prix of the international jury board which also includes Russian Travel Guide commercial director Alexander Eliseyev there is the Audience Choice Award. The winner will be decided by the internet voting (http://www.visitnovgorod.ru/tourfilm/videos/10.html), that will end on August 31, 2010. Within the frame of the festival the first International Tourism Film Academy will be held as well.
The festival has been named after kitovras, the creature from the Greek mythology, who was known for enormous knowledge and who helped King Solomon to construct the temple of the Wisdom.
