Three Tatarstan athletes to participate in first Youth Olympic Games in Singapore 15.07.2010

The Russian Olympic Committee confirmed the entry-list of the Russian sports delegation at the first Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore.

It includes 124 athletes who will participate in competitions in 22 sports. Handball players are the most numerous – 17, volleyball players – 16, track and field athletes -10 and swimmers -8. 21 sportsmen have the status of reserve players, the Ves Sport agency informs.

There are three Tatarstan representatives in the team. They are Svetlana Lipatova (free-style wrestling), Victoria Alexeyeva (fencing) and weight-lifter Artyom Okulov who represents both Tatarstan and the Perm region.
