Table tennis supporter awarded with prize 25.06.2010
Senior citizen Viktor Smirnov was awarded with a mobile phone as he was best to answer the questions of the daily quiz about the Universiade and the ongoing Championship.
As Viktor Smirnov said he had learnt of the Championship watching TV ads and had come to the Palace of Sports to support the Russian teams. It turns out that he himself has been playing table tennis for a long time.
“I’ve been playing since childhood, I remember we had handmade wooden paddles. Even now I compete in the handicap championships in Tatarstan and win first places.”
Tomorrow is the final day of the Championship and one of the spectators will get the super-prize of the Championship lottery.
