PE teachers discuss sport’s role in technical schools and colleges of Tatarstan 26.01.2012
Yesterday, on January 25, the science and practice conference titled «Role of Physical Culture and Sports in Preparation of Competitive Specialists of Secondary Vocational Education in Republic of Tatarstan» took place in Arsk Pedagogical College. The event was organised by the training association of physical education teachers of specialised secondary education establishments and resource centre of the council of directors of specialised secondary education establishments of the Republic of Tatarstan
The conference was attended by directors and executives responsible for physical education in specialised secondary education establishments. The attendees discussed various aspects of sports and health improving activities in technical schools and colleges of Tatarstan, and also shared their methodological recommendations for new approaches to management of grassroots sports, physical education and health improving measures.
During the plenary session of the conference, the audience was offered to hear the report on the development of university sports in specialised secondary education establishments of Tatarstan delivered by Chairman of the Burevestnik Youth Physical Culture and Sports Society of the Republic of Tatarstan Emir Kharisov. For her part, Director of the Educational Institutions and NGOs Relations Department Farida Galiullina gave a glimpse into the preparations for the 2013 Summer Universiade, prospects of the cooperation between education establishments and the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate and interesting projects expected to follow this year.
PE teachers of specialised secondary education establishments received recommendations on interesting ways of giving integrated classes for teachers of other disciplines and were told about the important role of a teacher in bringing up an achievement-oriented school leaver who respects sports and who has made a healthy way of life part of his lifestyle. The conference’s programme also included the themed exhibition Sports At College and climbers’ exhibition performance.
