Russian 2018 FIFA World Cup Bid Committee visited Kazan today 07.07.2010

Today, in advance of the FIFA Evaluation Team’s visit the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup Bid Committee paid a visit to Kazan.

The main goal of the visit is to get acquainted with the city, its infrastructure in the frame of the Russia 2018 World Cup bid campaign and to approve the program of visit of the FIFA Evaluation Team.

The delegation consisted of Director General of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup Bid Committee Alexey Sorokin, Deputy Director General of the Russian 2018 FIFA World Cup Bid Committee Alexander Djordjadze, Director of Strategic Planning of Russia’s 2018 World Cup Bid Book Dmitry Mosin, General Coordinator Rupf Daniel, Bid Committee Counselor Alexander Chernov, Bid Committee International Consultant Jude Debra and others.

The guests visited the construction site of the new 45,000-seat football stadium, the Central Stadium, the Olimpus football stadium of Kazan State Technical University and attended the summing up session with Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov.

We remind that the Kazan football stadium under construction is included in the Russia 2018/2022 FIFA World Cup Bid Book.
