Kazan 2013 Ambassadors are committed to their mission 20.12.2011

The Symphony Orchestra Festival of Russia is currently taking place in the Perm Territory. As the organisers admit, tickets to the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan had been sold out long before the concert started. The programme of the recital featured popular numbers from the opera skillfully performed by soloists of the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow Galina Koroleva and Georgy Faradzhiev. The State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan also delivered a beautiful performance of Ravel’s La Valse, suit of waltzes from Chevalier A La Rose by Richard Strauss.

The audience expressed its gratitude to the artists with a standing ovation. This recital became the first in a series of concerts executed by the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan in cities across Russia. In late December the artists will perform in Moscow State University and Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow. The next tour is planned for the spring of 2012 when the orchestra will travel to Moscow and Orenburg. During each concert of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Sladkovsky will fulfil his role as an ambassador for the 27th World University Summer Games.

Another Kazan 2013 Ambassador Dilyara Vagapova who sings for the Murakami rock band presented her new album last weekend. After the gig the group’s lead singer confessed that she proudly carried out the mission of a Kazan 2013 Ambassador and encouraged her audience to join the preparation for the 2013 Summer Universiade.

We remind you that in April 2011 the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan signed a cooperation agreement with the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate and on November 19 its artictic director and principal conductor was revealed as Kazan 2013 Ambassador.
