The annual concert under the project of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan Fortune of the Republic took place in Kazan. New representatives of UNI-elite were chosen during the project that had been included into the program of the Cultural Universiade
The unique creative project Fortune of the Republic was presented by art director and chief conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Sladkovsky a year ago. Gifted young musicians got a chance to appear on big stage with the main republican orchestra as part of annual concerts as well as new seasons’ openings. Traditionally, only famous soloists have such an opportunity, newcomers can only dream about it.
The orchestra has presented new names to Kazan fans of classical music. This time the Fortune of the Republic was represented by a student of the Music School of Kazan State Conservatory – celloist Vasily Stepanov, students and graduate students of Kazan State Conservatory: piano player Alina Gibadullina, organ player Veronika Lobareva, trumpeter Dmitry Trubakov, conductor Artem Abashev and violist Vladimir Babeshko, who is also an Anne-Sophie Mutter Stiftung scholar and one of the most famous young musicians in Europe. They are laureates of Russian and international competitions, and they all have a big future in front of them.
«We would like to point out that our republic’s fortune is not only oil, but great gifted young people and their teachers. Remember their names!» said Sladkovsky, opening the concert. It lasted more than 2 hours and received many rounds of applause from the audience.
Young soloists have also been included in UNI-elite. When giving the diplomas, Deputy Director General of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate and Executive Director of the 27th World University Summer Games Opening/Closing Ceremonies Igor Sivov mentioned that a special role had been attached to the cultural program of the 2013 Summer Universiade and the young musicians will get a chance to take part in the Cultural Universiade’ events.
