From Kazan 2013 volunteer to STUD’ZVEZDA winner 11.02.2012
Tamara Ivanova, a student of Kazan (Volga Region) State University and Kazan 2013 volunteer, became the winner of the 2012 STUD’ZVEZDA Youth Talent Show that concluded in Kazan with a spectacular gala show
It’s the third time the 2012 STUD’ZVEZDA Youth Talent Show is held this year. The festival was powered by Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University and Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate. On their way to the final gala show, the future student celebrities had to pass two auditions and demonstrate their talent at the semifinal that took place on January 27.
Best young performers were shortlisted for the final round of the talent show: Maria Dibrova, Ingido trio, Tamara Ivanova and Daniil Ivanov. Following the project’s initial concept, the students performed on the same stage with already established artists, such as Alina Sharipzhanova, Alexey Zilov, Dilyara Vagapova and I.O.W.A. band.
The hall of the UNICS Culture and Sports Complex, where the spectacular show was evolving, was overcrowded with supporters, talent show goers and fans of the project. The live performances at the show were evaluated by a panel of judges composed of Kazan’s famous artists and performers Mikhail Volkonadsky, Maxim Skalozubov, Irina Shipshova, Azat Garifullin, Mitya Burmistrov, radio DJs Yulia Novikova and Ilyas Mamontov, President of the Tatarstan Student League Timur Suleimanov, representative of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Rishat Gimultdinov. Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism of Tatarstan Andrey Kondratyev also attended the event to give emotional support to the contestants.
Throughout the entire evening, the audience enjoyed the best music, dance and other performances that were offered by young talented entrants in tandem with seasoned artists. Maria Dibrova and Dilyara Vagapova, a lead singer of the Murakami rock band, brilliantly performed the song »Skazka» (‘A Fairy-Tale’) which was featured in the movie «Realnaya Skazka» (‘A True Fairy-Tale’); Tamara Ivanova and I.O.W.A. group demonstrated amazing vocal skills, singing «Mama» (‘Mommy’) and «Prostaya Pesnya» (‘A Simple Song’); Indigo trio and Alexey Zilov had a perfect chemistry while performing the song «Bilo-Ne Bilo» (‘Did It Really Happen?’); Daniil Ivanov and Alina Sharipzhanova sang beautifully the songs «Sine Kotem» (‘I’m Waiting For You’) and «Chervona Ruta» (‘Red Rue’).
Apart from the entrants, the final gala show saw beautiful performances delivered by beaboxer Mitya Burmistrov, last year’s STUD’ZVEZDA winner – rap singer Mintimer who sang together with VIA CHAPPA, last year’s finalists – Anastasia Konorova and CoffeeShop band, Evgenia Ferofantova and VIA Volga-Volga, Nikolay Sidorov and Misae band, KSU’s KVN team and also U13 Ladies dance crew.
The winners of the 2012 STUD’ZVEZDA Youth Talent Show were announced in an exciting climax to this year’s final. By the panel’s decision, Tamara Ivanova, a student of Kazan Federal University, was awarded the 2012 STUD’ZVEZDA (‘student star’) title. Handing the trophy to the overjoyed winner, Student League President Timur Suleimanov remarked that this victory would send the army of Kazan 2013 volunteers into euphoria, as Tamara is actively involved in volunteer service in the run up to the Games and works as tutor of the English 4U Project.
«This project means a great deal to me. I’ve never experienced something like this before,» Tamara said. «It’s a lesson for me, a school of hard knocks. And I think that an incredible career awaits each of us after the project ends. Thank you very much!»
This year, the 2012 STUD’ZVEZDA Youth Talent Show was held under the aegis of the Cultural Universiade.
