August 12 – International Youth Day! 12.08.2010
Today the world celebrates International Youth Day
We congratulate all active and promising young people on this holiday! Be stubborn in pursuit of your lifelong dreams, reach new peaks and keep in your mind that U are the World!
It’s the young generation that drives the world and makes it change and brighten up. The Kazan Universiade 2013 will become a festival that will bring young people of all nations together and prove that youth are capable of anything.
There are 3 billion young people in the world who are set to scale new heights. More than 13 thousand young athletes will be looking forward to their hour of triumph at the 2013 Universiade in Kazan. And 20 thousand volunteers will believe that team spirit fills our life with meaning. The Universiade 2013 is something that will give us the most important thing – unity.
Each of us strives for success and is ready to attempt impossibilities. Each of us strives for happiness and is ready to do anything for our beloved ones. Each of us strives to live and brighten up our lives. And the power lies within us.
One philosopher said, “The only disadvantage of youth is that it passes quickly.” I wish you stay ever young, full of hope, luck and joy!
Vladimir Leonov,
Director General of Kazan 2013 Executive Committee
