2013 Games Directorate joins sports enthusiasts at Ski Track of Russia event 12.02.2012
Top executives and staff members of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate, as well as volunteers of the Universiade, took part in the annual 2012 Ski Track of Russia cross-country event, one of country’s biggest ski marathons
The 2013-metre long VIP ski race which was dedicated to the 27th World University Summer Games took place in the Trudovye Rezervy Stadium and saw the participation of 1st Deputy Director General of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Azat Kadyrov and Mayor of the Universiade Village Farid Abdulganiev.
Among the participants that lined up at the start line of the cross country race were Chief of Staff of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Larisa Sulima with her husband Sergey and two sons Egor (4) and Konstantin (9), Director of the Administrative Department of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Mikhail Leonov with his wife Svetlana and 4-year-old son Yaroslav, as well as Director of the Department of Information and Publications Aidar Tagirov with his wife and two children (ages 8 and 10).
However, it was the army of Kazan 2013 volunteers guided by newly appointed Director of the Volunteer Department Alexander Karpov that stole the limelight at the VIP ski race, as they impressed the crowd with the number of people involved.
Volunteers and staff members of the Directorate carried the flag of the 2013 Summer Universiade throughout the entire cross-country event, thus demonstrating the young generation’s commitment to sports and healthy lifestyle.
