The Miras Multifunctional Sports Complex is one of the seven venues inaugurated by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on May 5, 2010. The complex comprises a sports facility with a total area of 6,196 square metres and a football stadium which opened during the FIFA evaluation committee’s inspection visit to Kazan. During the Games the venue is expected to host preliminary rounds of basketball events and football training sessions.
