General provisions

In accordance with Article 1229 and Article 1270 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation the exclusive right to use the brand mark of the web-site (kazan2013.ru and kazan2013.com) in any manner not contrary to a statute (exclusive right to the brand mark) belongs to the Executive Board of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in the city of Kazan. Any use of the site materials can be realized if permitted by the Executive Board of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in the city of Kazan.

Free use

The Executive Board of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in the city of Kazan transfers the exclusive right to free reproduction and distribution of the site materials to the following users with the obligatory links to the information resource and the server (kazan2013.ru and kazan2013.com):

  1. Information agencies (legally registered);
  2. Official web-sites of companies and organizations;
  3. Printed media;
  4. Issue-related web-sites and web media.

 

Use limitations

Any commercial use of materials is prohibited unless paid for the use right, including the reproduction of the site materials with the purpose of the commercial access right realization.

No one possesses a right to use any symbols similar to the brand mark of the Universiade 2013 for the goods to be individualized by means of it or any other good that could be mixed as a result of such use, unless permitted by the Executive Board of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in the city of Kazan.

Legal protection of the site (rights for the content, design and name)

In accordance with Part 4 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation the copyright protects the following copyright properties:

  1. Works, the site name, the domain name;
  2. The brand mark;
  3. Computer programs used to make the site function, including the site management system, the site users counter, scripts, and others; the complex of information elements (as a specific property of related rights – the data base contents).

Means and methods of rights protection

In accordance with Article 7.12 of the Offences Code of the Russian Federation of December 30, 2001 N 195-ФЗ, the use of the web-site content with no link provided and plagiarism will be viewed as the infringement of a copyright that is criminally liable by Article 146 of the Russian Criminal Code of June 13, 1996 N 63-ФЗ.

In case the web-site content was used with no consent of the Executive Board of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in the City of Kazan (except the cases when the use is allowed without the consent of the right holder by the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, for instance, citing), the Executive Board of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in the City of Kazan may use any means and methods determined by the civil, administrative and criminal laws to protect its exclusive rights.

Exclusive right to the brand mark

The Executive Board of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in the City of Kazan possesses the exclusive right to use the following brand marks in any manner not contrary to a statute (exclusive right to the brand mark):

  1. Universiade 2013 logo;
  2. Universiade 2013 brand sign;
  3. Universiade 2013 mascot;
  4. Universiade 2013 slogan;
  5. Universiade 2013 style-forming element.

The exclusive brand mark right may be disposed by its holder the Executive Board of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in the City of Kazan. The exclusive brand mark right may be used to individualize goods, work or services the brand mark has been registered for, by means of the brand marks presence at:

  1. Goods, including labels, packages that are produced, offered for sale, sold, exhibited or in any other manner put into the civil turn-over on the territory of the Russian Federation, or kept and transported with this purpose, or imported into the Russian Federation.
  2. Performance of works and services;
  3. Official documents for putting goods into the civil turn-over;
  4. Proposals for goods retail, works performance, services delivery, signs and advertisements;
  5. On the Internet, including the domain name and with other types of addressing.

No one possesses a right to use any symbols similar to the brand mark of the Universiade 2013 for the goods to be individualized by means of it or any other good that could be mixed as a result of such use, unless permitted by the right holder.
