Russian Union of Youth

The Russian Union of Youth (RUY) is the largest non-governmental and non-political youth organisation in Russia, its mission is to help young people to find their place in the world and to expand their range of vision and interests.

The programmes initiated by the RUY draw up to 2 million participants every year. Its regional organisations and representation offices are established and function in higher education institutions, technical schools, lyceums, high schools and enterprises across 74 federal regions of Russia.

Today the Russian Union of Youth implements about 20 national and over 200 inter-regional programmes and projects for working youth, students and schoolchildren. The range of programmes is impressive and focuses on a number of areas: education, training, patriotism, career orientation, entertainment, culture, sports, etc.

The RUY is open to dialogue with youth organisations, state authorities, business circles and media outlets that contribute to the country’s sustainable development and are always ready to support Russian youth.

Under the cooperation agreement signed with the Kazan 2013 Executive Committee, the Russian Union of Youth (RUY) screened participants of the Student Spring All-Russian Festival and selected top student bands and artists to perform during cultural events of the Kazan 2013 Summer Universiade.
