The Executive Directorate of the 27th Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan (Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate) was established on August 15th, 2009. The founders are the Ministry of Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation, Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan Mayor's Office and Russian Student Sports Union. The Executive Directorate works closely with the International University Sports Federation (FISU), International Sports Federations (IFs) and coordinates the preparation and staging of the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan.
