According to Alice Schlesinger, the Israeli gold medallist, Russian silver medallist Anna Emelianenko, was nervous during their final showdown in the belt wrestling 66kg finals. “My judo skills really helped me defeat Emelyanenko,” Schlesinger told  R-Sport correspondent, “my opponent was really good during the match, but it seemed like she was a bit nervous.” Schlesinger recently switched sports from judo to belt wrestling because of “a few problems with the Judo Federation of Israel.”  “Therefore,” Schlesinger said, “I retrained for belt wrestling, because the main thing for me was to stay within the world of sports.”
