The water temperature during the competitions in Kazan was around 30 degrees Celsius. “I am glad that I was able to win, demonstrating that I am in good form. I am used to both cold and hot water, so there were no problems today. Do I have enough strength to swim more? No, I just barely made it the last 300 meters,” said Twichell to journalists.

The Universiade will end in Kazan on Wednesday.
