The Main Restaurant with an area of 12,600 sq m accommodated 3,500 people at one time. This allowed the Village to provide all the athletes with meals during peak meal times (working 3 shifts a day).
The athletes were given 4 meals a day and could choose from 5 different types of cuisine (halal, Asian, European, Tatar, vegetarian).
346,422 lunch boxes were given out during the Universiade.
Also, during the Universiade, 30,000 law enforcement officials were deployed in Kazan. Every day more than 4,000 officers from the Ministry of the Interior and guards from private security companies protected the sporting venues.
During the Games, 261 sporting weapons were brought to the sporting venues.
53 certified medical aid stations were set up at all the sporting and training facilities at the Universiade.
525 comfortable buses and 1,051 passenger cars transported Universiade athletes and guests to and from various sporting venues.
For the first time in the history of the Summer Universiade, the Games were broadcast in more than 100 countries.
The Games were broadcast by 3 Russian TV companies and 13 international media outlets.
More than 1,350 journalists and 1,711 TV hosts were accredited for the Universiade.
