Education

Staging the 27th World University Summer Games in Kazan is impossible without involvement of the educational community which will be in the very centre of things and serve as the target audience during the 2013 Summer Universiade. Cooperation between the Games organisers and national education institutions plays a major role in the preparations for such a high-profile sporting event as the Kazan 2013 Summer Universiade.

The main goal here is to make children, adolescents and young people of the Republic of Tatarstan understand that Top priority in this field is to make people see the 2013 Summer Universiade as a milestone event in the history of Russian university sports. And for that purpose, the concept of education programme has been developed to promote goals and values of the Universiade, university sports and a healthy way of life among children, adolescents and youth.

A number of projects, such as the Universiade in Your City FISU Flag Relay, Lessons of the Universiade Contest and Uni Kid Festival, have already been implemented as part of Kazan 2013’s education programme. Teaching resources appropriate for different student age groups will be compiled based on the results of the projects. That way, any citizen of Kazan, even the youngest one, will contribute to making the Games a reality.
