Universiade Village

The Universiade Village is one of the key venues of the Universiade, place of residence for athletes and heads of delegations at the Games time. The Universiade Village project was designed in accordance with International University Sports Federation (FISU) requirements and built in connection with staging of the 27th Summer Universiade Kazan 2013. The whole complex is intended for 12 000 persons. The Universiade participants will reside in equipped single or double room accommodation.

In order to provide comfortable conditions the whole infrastructure is developed on the territory of the Universiade village. At the Games time the athletes and members of the official delegations will be able to use free Wi-Fi, bank and postal services, visit the business center, supermarket, souvenir shop, first aid station. The Universiade Village is under control of the security services, that is responsible for maintaining public order and security on the whole territory of the complex.

Before and after the Universiade the Village will serve as a student campus for students of Kazan (Volga region) Federal University with the first two clusters and for students of Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism with the third cluster.

June 29th, 2013 is the Universiade Village official opening date for athletes.
