WTF European Qualification Tournament for London 2012 Olympic Games

Venue: Ak Bars Wrestling Palace
The WTF European Qualification Tournament for London 2012 Olympic Games will be held in the Ak Bars Wrestling Palace. Over 300 athletes, officials and VIP guests from 40 countries will gather for the tournament.
 
 

Semifinal of STUD’ZVEZDA Youth Talent Show

Venue: UNICS Sports and Culture Complex One of the most spectacular and long-awaited events, the semifinal of the 2012 STUD'ZVEZDA Youth Talent Show, will take place on January 27, as part of the celebrations on the occasion of Russian Students' Day. 13 students were shortlisted from 200 entrants in followup of the STUD’ZVEZDA project. The semifinal which will decide the names of STUD’ZVEZDA title holders will take place on January 27 on the same stage of the UNICS Culture and Sports Complex. A grand final gala filled with student vibe and сharisma will include solo performances as well as special apprearances in tandem with Russian show business stars.

FISU Seminar: Preparation and Staging of 27th World University Summer Games

The seminar focuses on transfer of the FISU members' experience to the 2013 Games organisers with  a view to enrich their knowledge in this or that field of responsibility and contribute to a better hosting the Universiade. The seminar’s programme features plenary sessions on such issues as sporting events management, TV and radio broadcasting, sports venue operation, as well as working conferences with FISU representatives on major areas of activity: medical service and doping control, Universiade Village, information technologies and others. The event will allow to evaluate the level of services to be rendered during the Universiade, discuss all problematic issues and hold consultations with the FISU members.

1st Winter Youth Olympic Games

The 1st Winter Youth Olympic Games will be held in Innsbruck, Austria. 1,059 young athletes from 67 nations will compete for a total of 372 medals during 9 days of competition from 13 to 22 January. Kazan 2013 volunteers will travel to Innsbruck to help the 2011 Winter Youth Olympic Games OC and to enrich their practical experience.
